About BBL HERO® Body
Discover the power of BBL HERO® (High Energy Rapid Output™)—an advanced treatment designed to effectively target sun damage, pigmentation, and skin imperfections anywhere on the body. With cutting-edge technology, BBL HERO® delivers results faster than ever, offering 4x the speed, 3x the peak power, and 2x the cooling for maximum comfort. This innovative treatment can rejuvenate large areas of skin in as little as 2-5 minutes, helping you achieve a smoother, more even complexion from head to toe.
How it works
BBL HERO® uses broad-spectrum photothermal energy—short bursts of high-intensity light—that are absorbed by melanin (brown pigment) and blood vessels responsible for redness. As the light penetrates the upper layers of the skin, it generates heat, breaking down pigmented cells and closing off broken capillaries. Over the next 7 to 14 days, the treated pigment naturally flakes away, while the body gradually absorbs the destroyed blood vessels.
Beyond targeting pigmentation and redness, BBL HERO® stimulates the skin’s natural healing response, promoting new cell growth and boosting collagen production. Studies have shown that regular treatments not only create a visibly more youthful complexion but also reverse skin cell DNA expression to a younger, healthier state at a molecular level.

How Many Treatments Will I Need?
The number of treatments required will vary depending on your individual goals, and your technician will customize a treatment plan tailored to the level of improvement you're seeking. To enhance results, your technician may suggest combining your treatment with other popular aesthetic procedures. For the best long-term effects, it's recommended to have at least one treatment annually to help combat aging and prevent sun damage.
Which Areas Can Be Treated?
Almost any area of your body can be treated, but the most common areas are those frequently exposed to sunlight. Popular treatment areas include the arms, neck, back of the hands, chest, and shoulders.
What Happens During the Procedure?
During your treatment, your eyes will be protected with safety shields or glasses. Typically, no topical anesthetic is needed, though your technician may apply one for more sensitive areas. You might feel a brief, warm sensation or a quick snapping feeling as the light is absorbed by the targeted area. The length of the procedure can range from a few minutes to half an hour, depending on the size of the area being treated and the type of procedure.
What Is the Recovery Time?
This is a gentle, noninvasive procedure with minimal to no downtime. Most people can resume their daily activities, including returning to work and applying makeup, right away.
What Should I Expect After the Treatment?
You may notice some redness, which should fade within a few hours. For pigmented lesions, you may see darkening of the treated area, which will eventually fade and flake off. Your skin will feel smoother, your pores will appear smaller, and sunspots or uneven pigmentation will diminish. The final results will depend on your specific skin condition, the number of treatments, and the areas treated. Your technician will provide detailed aftercare instructions and expected outcomes.
What Aftercare Is Necessary?
Follow the aftercare plan provided by your technician. You may receive skin care products with specific instructions. As your skin will be more sensitive to UV light after the treatment, it’s essential to avoid direct sun exposure until fully healed. Always cover your treated areas or apply a high-quality sunscreen when outdoors.
